Grammar Nazi! (and other complaints)

Here's another obligatory post: grammar and people's posts in general.

I'm not usually such a big grammar Nazi. If you have a typo in a chat or a forum post, I don't really care unless you are completely unintelligible. In that case, I would respond with a universal "?". However, when you're posting something such as a blog post or your own profile--something that people will look at as representative of you--please pay some attention. (And use spellcheck. Something like "Hi nice to meet you yes i can be domanet or submissvae" is just impossible to read. [And yes, that was a direct quote.])

FAIL!

I always seem to post when I'm morose. With the black background of the blog, I may seem quite depressed or cynical. I'm not, really. It's just that I tend to write when I'm upset.

So the upset of the day: My failed attempt at a standardized test.

I have been told that the GRE is to grad school as what the SAT is to undergrad. Even the grading scale is the same (out of 800), and I had thought that because I did well on the SAT without practice, I wouldn't need to study for the GRE either. That, as I found out, was an incorrect assumption.

So after spending over $200 in total, in traveling and on the test, and wasting a whole day to go to Geneva, I got a measly 610 for my verbal score. Math was okay. I got an 800 on that...

Ah, well, better luck to me next time.

EDIT: On a more positive note about school and stuff, I got a total of 54 credits this year, which is a startling 14 credits more than I needed. Even if half of those credits were completely unrelated to my field of study.

EDIT 2: It seems that some credits actually haven't shown up yet, so I should have a total of at least 62 credits, which is 2 more than the average year load of a normal student. Yay for me!
