It is apparently common to feel numb or tingly hands and fingers--and even face--when experiencing an orgasm. This is caused by the loss of blood from extremities and it flows toward the clitoris. Sometimes, it is also caused by (or compounded with) a lack of oxygen due to a subconscious change in breathing.

Hmm... The jury's still out for whether it's harmful or not.

For me, the feeling went away with the orgasm, so it's okay. But apparently, some people (of both sexes) are paralyzed for up to 15 minutes. That is a bit scary. (And by 'scary,' I do not mean creepy. Creepy is exciting. Scary is just plain scary.)
